2008 Rules

Dues and Fees

  1. Annual dues of $100 per team to be paid by first tournament. These dues will be pro-rated for "NEW" teams quarterly.

  2. Tournament fees are $60 per team. $10 of the entry fee goes to the club for expenses.

  3. There is one side pot available, Big Striper - $10 (per team). These are to be paid 15 minutes prior to start of tournament.

  4. There will be a one time charge of $20.00 for Club insurance. This will be paid by members and guests at the first tournament fished.

  5. No substitutions are allowed. Each team must be formed the 3rd tournament, or angler will fish alone the rest of the season.

  6. Each team must fish at least 5 current season tournaments, to be eligible to drop the lowest tournament for the season. 

 Registration and Payout

  1. To enter, teams should contact Tournament Director or register online. We will take registration at the ramp 30 minutes prior to launch.

  2. Tournament Director will determine launch order based on first to register.

  3. Payouts will be as follows: 1-5 boats - 1st place: 100%; 6-10 boats - 1st Place: 60% ; 2nd Place: 40%; 11+ boats - 1st place: 50%; 2nd Place: 30%; 3rd Place: 20%.

  4. Big Bass will be as follows: 1-5 boats - 1st Place: 100%; 6+ boats - 1st place: 60%; 2nd Place : 40%; Big Striper will pay first place only. Striper pot may carry over.

  5. In the event no bass are weighed in  the tournament, each team will receive a refund less $10 for club expenses.

  6. Entry fees must be paid to participate in the Striper pot.

  7. Points awarded to teams will be based on a points and weight format. First place will receive 20 points plus weight of fish, Second place will receive 19 points plus weight of fish, etc. They will descend down one point per place to lowest team weighing fish. Any team not weighing fish will receive 1 point below the last team with fish. These "show up" points will not include the weight of the fish of the last team.

Tournament

  1. All bass weighed must be at least 13 inches long with mouth closed. Any fish weighed in shorter than 13 inches will cost the angler 1 LB plus the weight of the short fish.

  2. All tournaments are shared weight of the boat, unless otherwise specified.

  3. All tournaments are a 5 fish limit. Over 5 fish at weigh in will result in disqualification.

  4. A 1LB penalty per minute late at weigh in will be applied. After 15 minutes late the angler will be disqualified.

  5. Artificial bait only. No live bait or dead bait is allowed. This includes striper pot.

  6. Dead fish will result in a 2 oz. penalty per dead fish weighed.

  7. Fish cannot be intentionally snagged.

  8. Big fish will break all ties. Big fish tie breaker will be determined by length. Each team will weigh one big fish.

  9. Tournament Director makes final decision on weighing fish.

  10. All fish to be released outside of marina. Tournament Director to assign release boats.

  11. Tournament Director will determine start and finish times.

Regular Season

    1. For 2008, our tournament season is January to November.

    2. All members must be 16 years of age.

    3. No trolling with big motor.

    4. All participants must have their own life vest. Life vest must be worn with big motor under power.

    5.All boats must be Coast Guard approved.

    6. No alcohol or drugs before or during the tournament. Alcoholic beverages are permitted at weigh in.

    7. Disqualification for any legal violation during tournament. Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in   member termination and will be determined by Officers.

    8. All participants must carry valid licenses and permits.

    9. Unless otherwise specified, any rule violation will result in disqualification.

   10. No fishing in closed areas.
